Airex Industries’ line of 36 inches long vertical cartridges dust collector distinguishes itself from other dust collectors by the ability to filter highly contaminated air volumes while remaining extremely compact. The cartridges are combined with an efficient compressed air self-cleaning system allowing the filtration of sub-micronics dust particles in a continuous operation and with a constant differential pressure loss.
Our DCCH vertical cartridges dust collector series includes sealed mechanisms and access doors for easy access and requires no tools to carry out filter cartridge changes.
Vertical Cartridges Design
Unlike the horizontal cartridges design where you can lose up to 30% of the effective filtering surface, Airex Industries’ DCCH series of vertical cartridges dust collector maintain a 100% of their filtration area in time.
Fast, Simple and Safe Cartridges Replacement
- The entire replacement of the set of vertical cartridges is done from outside the dust collector and requires no tools. This way the worker is not exposed to the dust.
- The cartridge is provided with a rectangular adapter that simplifies the manipulation of the vertical cartridges, and eliminates installation errors.
Continuous Operation
- Unlike some other types of dust collectors, such as a shaker the vertical cartridges dust collector doesn't have to stop its operations in order to remove or clean away the dust particles from its filters.
Economical
- The selection of a vertical cartridges dust collector is a very economical choice because it requires minimum maintenance. The maintenance is limited to a periodical replacement of cartridges (depending on the application), providing long-term profitability.
- Thanks to the high efficiency of the filtering media, it is possible to filter a larger air volume with a smaller filtering surface. This allows us to manufacture smaller collectors.
- The vertical cartridges dust collector operates with low pressure drops, between 1" and 3" of H2O. These values can be maintained by periodic cleaning that is controlled by a standard adjustable timer.
DCCH 36" Cartridges
- Whereas his little brother [the DCC Series] is designed with the shorter 26” long cartridges, the DCCH Series employs the longer 36” cartridges that allows it to filter a higher number of dust particles.
- Those very same 36 inches cartridges allows it to be more efficient while at the same time maintaining a smaller footprint.
How the DCCH Series Vertical Cartridges Dust Collectors Works
The dust-laden gases enter through the side intake of the vertical cartridges dust collector’s hopper, under vacuum or pressure (except for bin vents, where the air comes in from the bottom).
The gases are then filtered through the cartridges and exit through the venturis into the clean air plenum. The clean air can be exhausted outside or can also be recirculated depending on application.
How the Automatic Cleaning System Operates
For each row of cartridges there is a diaphragm valve connected to an air tank. The diaphragm valve is opened in sequence by a solenoid valve and electronic control board.
Short pulses of compressed air are injected through calibrated orifices in the blow tubes and into the venturis. The small primary flow of air through the venturis generates a much larger secondary flow of clean air from the plenum. The combined airflow creates a downward moving pressure wave that breaks the accumulated dust cake on the cartridges.
The electronic controller allows only one row of cartridges to be cleaned at any given moment, thus ensuring the vertical cartridges dust collector can operate continuously.
