Effectively separating dust particles by saturing the air stream with a water vortex while reducing/eliminating the potential for explosion, the wet environmental booth from Airex Industries is best used in highly explosive and reactive dust as well as oil mist applications.
This industrial grade wet environmental booth unit requires little maintenance thanks to its flexibility, high efficiency, robustness and top quality. Simplicity and high efficiency definitely remain its two greatest advantages.
This wet environmental booth unit for non-continuous operation does not require water level monitoring and will work independently.
Water level systems are available with secondary filter wash systems to aid and reduce maintenance and increase performance and filter life.
Safety
thank wet environmental booth particulates are drawn directly into the water, providing safe collection of aluminum and other potentially hazardous dust, as well as heavy sparking applications, meeting or exceeding OSHA and NFPA regulations concerning dust removal inside buildings.
Energy Saving
By recirculating clean, tempered air it is possible with wet environmental booth to save on heating and cooling costs.
Customization
The wet environmental booth can be built to specifications for the size of operation and the plant’s available floor space.
Noise Control and Visibility
All of Airex Industries’ WBX environmental booths have options for sound-attenuating insulation, noise control, and can be fitted with dust-proof fluorescent lights.
Tech Specificatcations
The wetrex is at the hearts of wet environmental booth, so therefore, all the technical specifications of the wet dust collector applies to these booths.
- Stable pressure drop for a given gas flow
- Constant efficiency for a given particulate condition
- No moving parts; no replaceable filters, robust construction
- Low capital investment and maintenance costs
- Compact (in most applications)
- Humidification of the working zone
- Possibility to cool the working zone
How the WBX Series Wet Environmental Booth Work
- Particle immersion is achieved by a strong turbulent water zone that forces the particles into the water; the main curved baffle insures that the particles are submerged and redirected towards the basin.
- The air and water mixture is then forced through another series of baffles that aid in the separation of the “clean” air from the dirty water.
- Secondary water/mist filters are used to drain out any water still left in the air stream.
- The water returns to the storage bin when the particles settle via gravity. It is then reused while the sludge and the debris are removed.
